Contemplated home surge units being put on newer homes to protect against surges installed EMP shield instead due protection not just against electrical storms but EMP possibilities, solar flares, etc…
In my situation found existing wires to sides of the breaker box problematic. Mounted unit on the bottom of an older square D breaker box found the grounding bar on this older breaker box was on the top of the box found the ground wires barely reached these wires could of been an inch longer. When closing the breaker box seeing the 2 green led light lite on the bottom of the breaker box is visually continually reminding its shielding from all kinds of electrical surges, etc…

Seriously, this was the BEST customer service I have EVER experienced!!! I am in awe of the genuine care and old fashioned way of taking care of business that I have missed. It is refreshing to know people and companies like this still exist, especially in the industry of something so essential and life-saving! I do not give reviews lightly and rarely provide them. However, I need to say Thank You So Much, Andrew, for being a breath of fresh air in this ever-changing world!
Further, I called late at night after I ordered online to see if I could add to my order and ask a question, and I got an answer by a human, Andrew. He was so amazing, adjusted my order, and shipped it out right away. I got the box within 24 hours of my actual order!
I have been able to install the devices purchased. The home models arrived, and I was able to connect the one device on the customer side of the main line breaker; my service company would need to be there to shut it off if on the service side, despite an electrician. I was very cautious about installing anything to the electrical panel, yet I was encouraged as the directions were so simple. I, NOT an electrician, with minimal electrical experience, installed the device closest to the main breaker off of two, twenty-amp breakers connections, and the ground, so easily. I had an electrician check my work afterward, to be sure, and it was perfect; amazing! Simple directions that are simple because it is simple to do; wow! It took me only minutes to install the two vehicle models on vehicles with top mount batteries; the instructions with pictures were so concise and precise.
I ordered again, at a later date, for my family. You need to know a few things before you order for others. Do the vehicles have a top or side mount battery? It matters, as some domestic automobiles have side mount batteries and have different posts or means of connecting to the battery from the vehicle. This situation is easy to fix by changing the connections with different washer type connectors to have it fit flush. The directions are the same, however, aside from the connector size, as post sizes and means of connections are different, and obviously that it is on the side instead of the top, the other way around.
The next important thing you need to know before you purchase for your loved ones is, for their home, do they have a flat electrical panel or a box? This distinction matters for the cord length, and to see the lights. The other thing they will need is enough room on the panel to insert it on 2, 20 amp breakers, which they should have already, and if for some reason the circuit board does not, they will need them before installation. I am not an electrically inclined person, so please excuse the down to earth language.
Another important thing to know for an RV model is the amps. You may need to call and have one custom made, which they will gladly and quickly do.
The last recommendation is for the solar/wind, or generator. There are a few things you need to contact the customer support for these applications because the device you order needs to be made specific to the amps your generator can handle. The solar/wind placement for the model is different, but also very easy to install. Regarding the generator that connects to your service panel, not from a solar panel, or wind, or battery, but one that connects to a pre-installed cord so you can use the generator to connect to your circuit-panel so that you can run the house or portions of such.
My loved ones hired an electrician to install the device on their home to be satisfied and feel more secure. They protected the domestic vehicles with vehicle models, even with side mount batteries themselves.
All in all, this was a very wise investment, and, I hear more and more daily about the reasons that I purchased the products in the first place: protection and peace of mind! I did my research and I chose the best protection! Thank you, EMPshield Team!
