EMP Shield has joined forces with authors Glan Tate and Shelby Gallagher of Prepping 2.0. EMP Shield’s own Andrew Bucchin got to be a guest on Glen and Shelby’s podcast. Andrew explained what the three phases of an EMP can do and how different they all can be. He also went into what a Solar flare or CME can and has done in the past with the Carrington Event. Shocking telegraph operators and setting things on fire. In today’s world a CME or EMP could be debilitating. Andrew also got to touch on some of the myths that surround an EMP and how the EMP Shield works in your home and vehicle.
Glen and Shelby started Prepping 2.0 with one outcome. Get the attention of a broader audience of Americans on what could happen and how to be ready when it does. Glen Tate was the first to write his four-book series, called 299 Days. About a man watching the Government crumbling around him and the measures he had to take to survive. Shelby Gallagher was a single mom and worried about how she could protect her kids against the world we face today. Shelby’s three-book series, A Great State, is a woman’s view on prepping and making sure your family is taken care. E1 vs E2 vs E3, Oh My!
When a Nuclear Weapon is detonated in the atmosphere it produces Gamma Radiation which ionizes atoms in the upper atmosphere. This is typically part of the E1 Pulse. In this article we will look at the three types of energy pulse created during an Electromagnetic Pulse or EMP.
E1 Pulse – Like a thief in the night…
The E1 pulse is the very fast component of nuclear EMP. E1 is a brief but intense electromagnetic field that induces high voltages in electrical conductors. E1 causes most of its damage by causing electrical breakdown voltages to be exceeded. E1 can destroy computers and communications equipment and it changes too quickly ( several nanoseconds) for ordinary surge protectors to provide effective protection from it. Fast-acting surge protectors (acting in less than 1-10 nanoseconds) will block the E1 pulse, like those produced by www.empshield.com of Burlington, Kansas.
Could Our Own Sun be the next Extinction level Event?
A Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) is a large expulsion of plasma and magnetic field from the Sun’s corona. According to data gathered from the SOHO solar observatory satellite, during the solar maximum period of our 11-year solar cycle, our Sun emits between 14 to 21 Coronal Mass Ejections per week! They can eject billions of tons of coronal material and carry an embedded magnetic field that is stronger than the background solar wind interplanetary magnetic field strength. As a saving grace, not all Coronal Mass Ejections are directed at the Earth and aren’t all strong enough to cause serious danger.
“Now, I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds”
The threat of an Electromagnetic Pulse attack is not a thing of fiction, in fact it is not a matter of if, but when this technology will be used as a devastating weapon of war. Even before the now infamous quote by J. Robert Oppenheimer, mankind has sought out ever increasingly effective ways of conquering one another.
Homes with self-sustaining energy sources as part of their structure, or homes referred to as “net zero” homes, are quickly becoming more and more popular in the world today. These homes generate all the energy needed to comfortably maintain a stable environment for the residents, and sometimes even generate more energy than will be needed with a combination of solar, wind and even geothermal power sources. Lowering monthly energy bills, not having to rely on an aging power grid and saving the environment make this way of running homes seem like a no brainer.
